Why Female Pen Pals?

Let me begin by explaining why I've specified that these female pen pals are non-prisoner penpals. It's simply because if you do a search at your favourite search engine for 'female pen pals' you will find that by far most of the results returned are for prison pen pals. So, as this page isn't about prison pen friends I wanted that to be clear and for it to stand out from the crowd. I'd also like to make it clear that I have absolutely nothing against female pen pals in prison, it's just that this page isn't about them, that's all.

So, turning to the task in hand, here are my current thoughts about female pen pals. Firstly, it seems to me that if you are searching for girls or women to be pen pals then you probably fall into one of three groups. The first of these is those women seeking someone female as an internet friend or companion, someone to chat to as part of a wider circle of friends. Perhaps such penpals would share the same hobbies or have other things in common.

Secondly, you might be searching for female pen pals if you are a man and would like to get to know women on a friendship basis, perhaps with a longer term view to finding someone special once you get to know your pen friends better. This is a good course of action, and perhaps avoids the full-on 'dating' approach with its accompanying aspects disliked by some people.

The third group of people seeking female pen pals and into which you might fit, would be lesbian ladies looking for similar to themselves.

For these reasons it is important to specify the sexual orientation of the people you are seeking when you carry out a search using the panel above right. That way mistakes and any potential confusion about why you are using the site and who you are looking for can be avoided.

The good news is that women with all approaches to finding a female pen pal and all reasons for being at the site should be well represented, so you have an excellent opportunity, whether you are male or female, to connect with the kind of people you are looking for.

You know, it strikes me that the term 'female pen pals' has something of a ring to it through its directness, and sounds on the one hand so much better than 'women pen pals' while on the other -- again the result of its directness -- it has the potential to sound a little hard, less about friendship perhaps and more about getting straight to the point. So, again be careful that the women you contact through the search box are looking for what you are looking for.
